Hockey Aid
Lucas Wise is 12 years old and is already learning how to organize fundraising events! Inpired by the Canadian Sledge Hockey team he decided to organize a hockey tournament fundraiser as his bar-mitzvah project. Lucas hopes to raise $10,000 for the Canadian Paralympic Foundation.
So far he has raised almost $5,000 with bake sales and sponsorships.
“My plan is to organize this charity tournament for my Bar Mitzvah project. I will do my best to raise $10,000 or more for the CPF. I chose the CPF as my charity because I love the Olympics, hockey and being Canadian. Handicapped people have the same rights as everyone and the Paralympic athletes show us all that we can do anything we set our minds to!” – Lucas Wise, Organizer.
