Canada’s Golden Girl, Lauren Woolstencroft Wins Five Gold Medals at the Paralympic Winter Games

Woolstencroft won the medals in the Giant Slalom, Slalom, Super-G, Downhill Skiing, and Super Combined helping Canada to set a record for the most gold medals at any Paralympic Winter Games. Woolstencroft now joins Chantal Petitclerc and Stephanie Dixon as an elite group of athletes all tied at holding five medals won at a single games.

Woolstencroft was born missing her left arm below the elbow as well as both legs below the knees. She began competitive skiing at the age of 14.
