It is through the generous gifts of individuals, community groups and businesses that the foundation is able to support Paralympic athletes across Canada. By providing leadership and support to further the development of sports for people with physical disabilities, we empower athletes and strengthen the Paralympic Movement.

General Donation

The Canadian Paralympic Foundation accepts general donations in support of Parasport and Paralympics. Your donation will be used for the program with the greatest need.

Directed Donations

The Foundation currently has a number of fundraising initiatives that it supports. Click here to read more on Foundation programs. If you have a favourite Paralympic or Parasport program you wish to see your donation specifically directed to, please let us know.

Planned Giving

Please also consider the following less traditional means of giving:

  • Gifts in kind, such as real estate, art, cars and boats, antiques and jewellery
  • A bequest in your will
  • A charitable gift annuity. There are many estate and tax advantages to this approach, including monthly; largely tax-free income
  • An insurance policy, either as a gift to our Foundation or with the Foundation as the beneficiary

There are many benefits to making a planned gift:

  • Your gift supports the Canadian Paralympic Foundation
  • You receive a charitable tax receipt
  • You pay no capital gains tax on the appreciated value of the securities
